Our Unique Story
Originally launched as Cathedral Italian Bistro in 2022, the concept became an instant hit as a local dining destination. Sources such as D Magazine, the Dallas Observer and Culture Map took notice of our growing reputation as a neighborhood must-try.
Our world-class chefs began exploring fusion cuisine that extended beyond the Italian fair perfected at launch, drawing rave reviews over limited time offerings and seasonal tasting menu items. As the menu charted into new territories, so did the needs of the concept. There, the idea for Luis’ Prime was born: to align a more expansive brand with the ever-growing list of fan favorites.
The finest ingredients, a master sommelier-curated wine list and unmatched customer service… that’s what you have come to expect from Luis’ Prime. This often touted, rarely executed formula is the foundation that delivers an unparalleled dining experience. Food quality is stellar as Luis’ Prime uses fine-dining sources with well-known products like Berkshire pork and prime beef to ensure top quality. Pastas are handmade fresh daily in house. The well-honed menu offers artisanal meat and seafood, as well as in-house hand-crafted desserts.

Our Unique Counter-Top Dining Experience
Luis’ Prime is redefining what it means to be one of the top Italian restaurants in Plano. We have one of the largest pizza ovens in North Texas, hand crafting our pizzas on demand and making all fresh pastas in house daily.
We believe that we serve some of the best pizzas in Plano at accessible prices. Besides this, we offer fine dining, craft cocktails, a great beer selection and a carefully curated wine list.
After 9:00 pm, the restaurant turns into a fun night scene.

A Look at our Menus
Authentic Italian food with a Texan flare. We have a refined, sustainable and accessible style of contemporary cuisine that elevates the menu here at Luis’ Prime. Inspired by the innovative local food scene in Dallas, we fuse instinctive Italian ingredients with local and seasonal fare using herbs, vegetables, coupled with exceptional meats and seafood.
We had the Pesto Gnocchi, the Italian Egg Rolls, the Garlic Knots with the Wagyu Tallow Candle, and Tiramisu. It is hard to pick a highlight since each item was as good as the last. The Pesto Gnocchi was the perfect consistency and had amazing flavor without being too rich. The Italian Egg Rolls were fantastic and served as the perfect vehicle to showcase their scratch-made Italian sausage. The garlic knots were amazing when dipped in the tallow/balsamic/rosemary mixture. Lastly, the tiramisu was a revelation. I was a little skeptical when I saw passion fruit caviar was included with the tiramisu, but the tartness perfectly cut the sweetness of the tiramisu.
