Originally launched as Cathedral Italian Bistro in 2022, the concept became an instant hit as a local dining destination. Sources such as D Magazine, the Dallas Observer and Culture Map took notice of our growing reputation as a neighborhood must-try.
Our world-class chefs began exploring fusion cuisine that extended beyond the Italian fair perfected at launch, drawing rave reviews over limited time offerings and seasonal tasting menu items. As the menu charted into new territories, so did the needs of the concept. There, the idea for Luis’ Prime was born: to align a more expansive brand with the ever-growing list of fan favorites.

Our Unique Experience
Focused on being one of the best Plano restaurants, our Italian restaurant offers a unique counter experience allowing guests to witness the culinary process and interact with our culinary team at our display counter positioned in front of our charcuterie, pizza oven, and in front of our chefs while they put all the final touches onto the dishes.
Luis' Prime is refining what it means to be one of the top restaurants in Plano with all pastas and breads being made in house fresh daily as well as our own pastry team making all desserts from scratch.
You can also find a stellar wine list and craft cocktails in our beverage menu to be enjoyed.
Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from noon to 6:00pm at our bar and display counter.

All of our pastas, breads, pizzas, and desserts are made in house. We only use the finest quality ingredients including fresh seafood and prime and wagyu beef
Great place that has about ten tables in the restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary and they took great care of us. The egg rolls were outstanding and both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. The staff was very polite and catered to our every need. Will definitely go back!

The Pesto Gnocchi was the perfect consistency and had amazing flavor without being too rich. The Italian Egg Rolls were fantastic and served as the perfect vehicle to showcase their scratch-made Italian sausage. The garlic knots were amazing when dipped in the tallow/balsamic/rosemary mixture. Lastly, the tiramisu was a revelation. I was a little skeptical when I saw passion fruit caviar was included with the tiramisu, but the tartness perfectly cut the sweetness of the tiramisu

We stoped by while traveling, and it turned out to be the best part of our trip. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was top notch, food was delicious ( chicken Rollatini) i gotta go back and have it again. I wish we lived closer to go more often.
